Using Digital Twins to Engineer the Future

Using Digital Twins to Engineer the Future

What's it all about?

In this session join Beca's Stephen Witherden and  Andrew Cowie  to paint a vivid picture of engineering in the next 100 years and how contemporary technology is going to evolve to meet that future.

One example of such technology is Digital Twins. Digital Twins are a representation of the real world that look like, behave like and are connected to the real world for use in decision-making, they occupy the interface between the engineer’s world and the physical world, allowing us a glimpse into design possibilities, but are also a powerful communication and decision-making tool throughout the asset lifecycle.
