Join the live audience for a youth focused television show pilot, the first collaborative production of Rāngai and Target3D
What's it all about?
In February 2021 Rāngai will be opening the doors to a new film and television school in Tairāwhiti, the only place in the country with our unique earn while you learn savings scheme. Rāngai will help our rangatahi pay for their degree with the mahi done during their education.
We are creating the first of the student work opportunity by producing a weekly youth news and current affairs programme. The pilot to be filmed during the intended broadcast slots on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Take the opportunity to watch these very first episodes and some of our rising talent in their debut broadcast.
This event is being held at the Lawson Field Theater, 7 Fitzherbert Street, Whataupoko, Gisborne, Tairāwhiti and can be attended physically or virtually.

Haimona Ngata
A freelance Video Content Producer based in Gisborne, New Zealand. I'm originally from Tolaga Bay (Uawa). Working in the television and media industry for 20 years, with valuable experience and industry knowledge working for advertising agencies, production houses and all of the major broadcasting networks here in New Zealand, including TVNZ, Mediaworks, and SKYTV.
Matthew Marshall
The head of EIT IDEAschool, the education partner who will be delivering the courses from the new facility. An award-winning academic, teacher and researcher with 20 years of success at executive level. He is also a successful Board member for NGOs, non-profit organisations and Local & State Government organisations and internationally recognised concert performer and recording artist
Shannon Dowsing
Rāngai Managing Director, District Councillor and Trust Tairawhiti Trustee. A Gisborne local who has worked globally as a technologist and created the strategy behind the new educational and commercial opportunities of Target3D and Rāngai.
