Marianne is a legally-trained researcher, strategist and storyteller who has used story-based research, advocacy and campaigning to influence policy in New Zealand and elsewhere over the past two decades. Examples of her recent work include leading the research and communications for the People’s Mental Health Review (2017), the Out of the Maze report on digital divides (2018) and the Digital Threats to Democracy report (2019). Marianne is co-founder of ActionStation, and co-founder and Director of The Workshop.
