Ko Māui Hangarau is a Māori Tech and Innovation Summit for rangatahi Māori, whānau and educators that aims to awaken, inspire and ignite rangatahi to see the infinite opportunities in the tech industry.
Supported by the Ministry of Education, the event is designed to capture the hearts and minds of Rangatahi who have an interest in Digital Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship.
Rangatahi Māori will hear from a range of Māori Tech Innovators about the cool stuff they are working on, their journey and experiences. The afternoon session provides a more intimate opportunity for whānau and for educators to hear from experts and practitioners working in this sector who will share tips and strategies to help us navigate and thrive in the tech space.
To ensure rangatahi Māori and their whānau have access to this event, we will be providing two ways to engage in this event including a physical event and an online streaming component as well.
This event is open to the public, but is primarily suitable for rangatahi Māori aged 13 - 18. The afternoon session provides a dedicated opportunity for whānau, and for educators from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
You can attend this event physically, and parts will be live-streamed. Register your interest below or find out more at https://www.kmh.nz/
