Intended Outcomes:
Innovation is the key driver in adding value to what New Zealand has to offer in the science, technology and entrepreneurship space. The post-pandemic recovery of New Zealand’s economy will be heavily influenced by new and innovative developments in the manufacturing and design sectors.
The MaDE MISSION is to develop expertise and capability in translational research, to grow New Zealand’s high-tech manufacturing economy. The MaDE VISION is for New Zealand to be recognised as a leading, technology empowered economy driven by innovative, high-value, niche manufacturing, design and entrepreneurship. These should be at the core of driving the New Zealand manufacturing economy.
This panel will discuss how the national MaDE (Manufacturing, Design, Entrepreneurship) Network activities – in the short-, medium- and long-term – can be at the core in driving the post-pandemic recovery of the New Zealand manufacturing sector and in building a sustainable technology-led, high added-value export economy.
This prerecorded virtual exhibition session will provide post-graduate students from across NZ with the opportunity to showcase their work by way of video recordings of a sample selection of submissions of physical demonstrations, samples or exhibits; plus, to strike up subsequent online conversations with and gain feedback from industry, academics and fellow student delegates.
The MaDE2020 (DIGITAL) format will include a selection of Student Innovation Showcase EOI submissions which will be included in our Techweek2020 programme.
