The Canterbury DHB Via Innovations Team and Te Papa Hauora Health Precinct are hosting Techie Brekkie as part of Techweek 20.

This free event focuses on health technology and innovation connected to our future. We will be showcasing the following topics that benefit our population, with a particular focus in some areas on Covid developments.

Christopher Dawson founded Spritely in 2016 to keep a closer eye on his ageing parents. Working with industry leaders in the aged care sector, the team at Spritely developed a product for retirement village residents. Now Spritely is working with MBIE to develop a COVID-19 screening protocol for the retirement village industry.

Christine Beasley

RN, MHealSc (NUCL)

Chris is currently the CDHB Simulation Nurse Coordinator Manawa Simulation Centre, Christchurch and Canterbury DHB simulation lead.
Chris is a graduate of the Centre for Medical Simulation, Boston USA - Comprehensive Simulation Instructor Course and Advance Simulation Instructor Course.
Chris is the Chair of the South Island Clinical Skills and Simulation Group, the Current Chair of NZASH and organiser of the popular Canterbury Collaborative Simulation Interest Group (CCSIG).
Chris’s interests are in advanced simulation debrief, train the trainer and supporting in-situ simulation.

Kyle Forde

CIO WellSouth Primary Health Network and West Coast PHO | COO for Karo Data Management

Kyle is the current CIO for WellSouth PHN, advisory to West Coast PHO and COO for Karo Data Management. Kyle studied for his master’s degree in professional practice focussed on standards and interoperability in New Zealand. Kyle brings over 20 years of commercial and IT experience to the health and social sector and this experience provides the sector with a unique view when formulating strategies across all sector engagements. Kyle is a representative on the Ministry of Health Digital Investment Board, Ministry of Health Business Design Council, Board Member for Anglican Family Care, Member of the NZ Telehealth Leadership Group and an active member of NZHIT. His experience across the social and health sector provides a balanced view when providing cross sector advice.
