What's it all about?
TechWomen bring you a variety of perspectives on the challenges of finding great female talent in the New Zealand tech industry. Are you an organisation that is struggling to get female candidates to apply for roles? Do you feel frustrated that there just isn’t enough talent out there to meet the desire for your organisation to be more diverse? Or, are you a woman actively seeking new opportunities, but can’t seem to get even an initial interview? Are you looking for ways to bring yourself to the top of the recruiters list?
In this event, we will hear from people on both sides of the equation, helping both companies and candidates to discuss and understand how to attract and retain more women into the tech environment. Eva Sherwood
Eva contributes to the wider tech industry through her role as Chair of TechWomen and also serves on the board of New Zealand Technology Industry Association (NZTech). This non-profit organisation provides a united voice for the fastest growing sector in New Zealand. The organisation helps New Zealand technology businesses succeed by encouraging talent, growing knowledge, creating connections and influencing policy. Eva is an Associate Director in the Digital Customer team with Deloitte Consulting practice. She is passionate about people and technology. Her role includes developing digital and technology strategies for organisations looking to drive business value through the use of systems and technology.
Lauren Foster
I help organisations and their people understand and adapt to changes driven by organisational transformations, digital disruption, Mergers & Acquisitions and business model transformations. I am a subject matter expert in strategic change management, communications and learning & development with more than 15 years of experience helping clients across the U.S., Europe and New Zealand navigate people aspects of transformation across a broad range of industries.
Kim Connolly-Stone
Kim leads a team of policy advisors who seek to influence Internet policy and regulation in New Zealand to achieve an Internet for All and an Internet for Good. Kim is a policy wonk with a legal background working in a digital world.
As Organisational Learning Manager at Z Energy, Julie ensures that Z is building a dynamic workforce with a culture of lifelong learning and redefined views of their career. Prior to that Julie was the Z Talent Manager who in addition to talent attraction, recruitment, onboarding and development, led the development of Z’s Diversity and Inclusion Stand. Julie is passionate about people achieving more than they thought possible through having a growth mindset and about creating working environments where people can be successful, being themselves.
Adela May
Adela has spent most of her HR and recruitment career in the technology
space, predominately working with startup-up companies. She is currently the
People and Recruitment Manager at Montoux and is responsible for all
recruitment, HR, training and development, and employee experience
activities. She is passionate about helping people flourish in their roles
and love the work they do.
